Hyeyoung Cho

Born in 1969, Seoul, Korea. Hyeyoung CHO attained her BA Honours Degree in ceramics at the University of the West of England (formerly known as Bristol College of Art and Design), in the United Kingdom. She received her MFA in ceramics at the Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea and she completed her PhD requirements in contemporary three dimensional art theory at the same university. She was the Korean representative, TRESOR contemporary craft till September 2017, art director and guest curator, Contemporary Korean Ceramics Exhibition for the Fondation Bernardaud, Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK (May 2017~February 2018). She was also the art director, Constancy and Change in Traditional Korean Craft, Milan Design Week 2017 (until April 2017), jury member of The 3rd Triennale of Kogei Kanazawa, Japan (January 2017), art director, Craft Trend Fair 2016, Korea Craft and Design Foundation (December 2016), guest curator, Contemporary Korean Ceramics Exhibition, Fondation Bernardaud, Limoges, France (June 2016), art director, Cheongju International Craft Biennale, Main Exhibition, Korea in 2015, and international commissioner, Gyeonggi International Ceramics Biennale, Korea in 2013.
