明治期、金沢は全国でも有数の茶の産地だったことはあまり知られていません。棒茶が金沢に生まれたのは明治35年。繊細な味覚を持つ金沢の人たちによって作られ、愛されてきました。現在の棒茶というジャンルを確立した背景にある加賀藩以降のお茶文化のストーリーを、昨年制定されたばかりの11月11日棒茶の日にアフタヌーンティ形式で行います。

In the Meiji period, Kanazawa’s role as a prominent producer of tea was not widely known. Bocha tea was created in Kanazawa during the Meiji period, and local people with a refined sense of taste have loved and nurtured it ever since. Enjoy learning about the specific tea culture that has existed since the days of the Kaga Clan, and was created in the wake of the establishment of the bocha tea genre. This evet will be held on November 11th (also known as "Bocha Day") in an "afternoon tea" setting.
