金沢らしい風情を残す東山と主計町の町家に、作家とギャラリーが工芸作品を展示。路地を巡れば街の新たな魅力がわかり、作家やギャラリストと交流すれば、アートや工芸が身近になる。気づきと出会いの４日間。

Artists and galleries display their craft works in the townhouses of Higashiyama and Kazuemachi, quarters that retain the Kanazawa's old characteristics and atmosphere. Walk around the alleyways and you'll discover new and delightful things in the city. Interact with the artists and gallerists and you'll learn more about art and craft. Four days of encounters and realizations.

料理人と工芸作家。「つくる」を生業とする人が、真摯に向き合い語り合い、思いを宴に昇華する。その日、その場にいるすべての人が、食と工芸の素晴らしさを感じられる、五感で味わうプレミアムな世界。

Chefs and artists. People whose calling is "to create" have an earnest meeting of the minds, and their ideas unite to become a feast. For all in attendance, it is a world of delight, one to savor with all of the senses, and a chance to experience the wonders of cuisine and arts and crafts alike.

An artistic journey through Kanazawa's small streets

KANAZAWA ART SPACE LINK

金沢市と近郊に点在するアートスペースをつなぐ試み。工芸祭期間中のアートスペース情報をまとめてパンフレットやウェブで発信し、11月に金沢アートグミで全参加アートスペースが出展するアートフェアも開く。

A project connecting the city of Kanazawa with the art spaces scattered across its suburbs.Information on art spaces during the Kanazawa 21st century KOGEI festival will be collected and published in pamphlets or on the internet, and an art fair where all participating art spaces will display their work at Kanazawa Art Gummi will be held in November.

A craft workshop to develop the masters of the future

KANAZAWA MIRAI KOGEI-BU

子どもから大人まで、幅広い層が参加できるワークショップ。指導するのは若手の工芸作家。伝統工芸の技法に触れ、作家の活動や思いを体感してもらいながら、未来の工芸を支える＂使い手＂となる道を拓く。

Workshops open to a wide range of participants, from children to adults. The workshops are led by young artists. While giving participants the opportunity to experience the techniques of traditional handicrafts and learn first-hand about the activities and their thoughts, these workshops open a path for participants to become the enthusiasts who will use arts and crafts, and underpin their future.

Traditional and modern tea ceremony

KANAZAWA MIRAI CHAKAI

「トラディショナル」と「コンテンポラリー」、ふたつのテーマで茶席を開催。伝統から多彩な方向へ、思い思いの解釈で繰り広げられるおもてなし。「茶の湯」文化が今なお根付く、金沢ならではのひととき。

Featuring two major themes for tea ceremony seating, traditional and contemporary. From the traditional to a more diverse approach, creative interpretation opens up a world of hospitality. These are moments that can only be had in Kanazawa, where the culture of the tea ceremony remains firmly rooted to this day.
