小堀遠州の遺訓に「ふるきとても形いやしきは用いず、新しきとても形よろしきは捨つべからず」という言葉があります。この精神に則り、道具そのものの美しさや取り合わせの妙を楽しんでいただける茶会にしたいと思います。

Enshu Kobori, the originators of the Enshu Sado passed down a philosophy that "even if a tool is old and good, it should be not be used if its form does not fit, while if one is new and has a good form, it should not be disposed of." In this spirit, we enjoy the innate beauty and particular combinations of the utensils themselves.
