Nadine Vischer Klein

Nadine Vischer Klein worked from 1976-1989 at Sotheby’s London, Zurich, and Geneva as an expert of the applied arts. She helped build up the important sales of Russian works of art, gold boxes, European silver, miniatures and carpets, first in Zurich during the famous era of Sotheby’s brilliant chairman Peter Wilson, and later in Geneva. She played a key role in the Robert von Hirsch Collection which took place in London in 1978. Trained as an auctioneer, she auctioned the legendary sale of the Duchess of Windsor Jewels in Geneva 1987.
Since 1989, Nadine has been running her own ART ADVISORY SERVICE, putting her extensive knowledge of the international art market and her important network at the service of collectors, museums, institutions, and art lovers. She is actively involved on the boards of leading Basel institutions including the Fondation Herzog, the world famous photography collection of Ruth and Peter Herzog, the Foundation of the Historic Museum Basel, and was president of the Friends of the Museum between 2005 and 2014. In 2015, she joined her brother Anthony in founding TRESOR AG where she is a member of the executive board. At TRESOR contemporary craft, she is responsible for exhibitor relations and content.
